Sherri Hill’s Social Moments

With an audience packed mostly with showgoers (including kids) decked out in sequined dresses and other evening looks, Sherri Hill presented its fall collection of eveningwear, and pageant and prom dresses on the runway Friday night at Cipriani 42nd Street, followed by a party at the venue. Bella Thorne, Kelly Bensimon, Sophie Elgort and Jason Binn, who brought his daughter, were among the front row attendees.
The show featured 28 looks, many with Swarovski crystal embellishments, intricate beadwork and luxe fabrics. During the show, rappers Rich the Kid and Famous Dex performed on the runway — literally —  dancing, ogling, getting in the way, and blocking the models as they made their way down the catwalk.

Model and activist Halima Aden opened the evening gown portion of the show in support of UNICEF USA, where she serves as an ambassador. Following the show, her one-of-a-kind dress was available to win in a sweepstakes, where every $5 donation made to the CrowdRise campaign equaled one entry. Aden is noted for being the first woman to wear a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, where she was a semifinalist, and she

Heading Up Christian Siriano’s Front Row

Christian Siriano’s front row was packed with many of his longtime supporters: Coco Rocha was seated next to Christina Hendricks, whose husband Geoffrey Arend snapped away with his camera from his second-row seat directly behind her; Debra Messing reapplied her cherry lipstick and dusted seat mate Mariska Hargitay with a blush brush while waiting for the show to start, and Tess Holliday held court farther down the row.
“When [Siriano] first came to New York, when he was 18, I was amazed at his ability — not only his creativity, but his construction,” said Patricia Field, sneaking her way past the throng of photographers to find her seat inside Top of the Rock. “I said to him, ‘How can somebody so young know what they’re doing like you know?’ And he said to me, ‘I sat next to my mother who was a dressmaker on the sewing machine from this big,’” she continued, lowering her palm a few feet from the ground. “And there it is. And that was more than 10 years ago.”
As for what other shows she’s planning to attend during fashion week, Field offered, “I’m going to go to my favorites. The Blondes.”
For Christina Ricci, Saturday marked her first

Cardi B’s Sister Hennessy Carolina Helped With Postpartum Depression by ‘Being There’

As anyone who’s attended a show or party at New York Fashion Week knows, there’s a lot of waiting around involved; waiting for the lights to go down, for the music to swell, the runway to begin, or, in the case of Jeremy Scott’s Friday night presentation, for a VIP arrival.
Cardi B’s sister Hennessy Carolina was the last in a line of front-row guests to show up, leaving the p.r. unraveling in a scheduling fever.
“She’s not here yet?!” one employee hissed into the microphone attached to her headset. She held it so close to her mouth she might have swallowed it. “I’m not holding the show!”
The rest of the front row — Courtney Love, Aquaria, Maluma and his girlfriend Natalia Barulich among them — said hi to one another and sat patiently, hanging out.
“Look at all these kids,” Love said admiringly. She’d taken in the Tom Ford show a few days before, and planned to attend dress designer Batsheva Hay’s presentation on Tuesday. She’s collaborating with Hay and her former bandmate, the Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, on “something special.” (Love said she hadn’t read the article on The Cut about how terrible prairie dresses are, but
