For more than 70 years, Gerriets’ multi-layer curtain systems have been used in theatres and opera houses in order to dampen the conversion noises in the scenic transformation from the audience due to the high sound insulation. Over 10 years ago the next evolutionary step followed and the sound curtain OFFICE was developed. It combines an extremely high sound insulation of up to 26 dB with a variable textile structure and a very quiet maintenance-free track system and can therefore be used perfectly as a flexible room divider as well as a design element. Meeting areas in an open space office can be temporarily separated just as easily as auditoriums in museums or retreatment rooms in libraries.

As a unique further development, variable window elements (patent pending) were presented for the first time in 2018, which can be flexibly integrated into the sound curtains without reducing the acoustic effect. This results in variable textile rooms that not only open up the view to the inside, but also allow the view to the outside. With this, Gerriets also meets the requirements of fire protection, which in many federal states requires a direct view to the outside.
