Jean Davidts started this company after second world war. He was an artisan and a merchant. He started his activities nearby Maastricht. Later on he moved to Liège where the Davidts family ran up to 5 retail shops.
In 1971 he started a wholesaler activity and developed this business in Belgium. My brother Jean-Marie and I, joined him in 1974 and we took over the company in 1992 when he retired.
In the beginning, all the production was made in Belgium but step by step, some items were made in Italy and later on in China and India.
Today, we are working with 10 people in the head office. 6 salesmen are visiting the customers and participating at several fairs in Europe and one person is living in Shanghai and running our China office. We export in France (our main market), in the Netherlands, in Germany, in UK, in Poland, in Italy and in Portugal.

We create our products ourself. Our designers keep making new models and our office in Shanghai buys the raw materials and follows the production of the factories we are dealing with. Davidts doesn’t offer cheap products but focus on design, practicality, protection of the contents and sustainability.
We follow an important rule: all wear parts of our products must be replaced easily. This means that all spare parts are mainly fixed by screws and not with rivets.
Beside our B to C web shop (only for Belgium and the Netherlands), we will open a B to B web shop. For next season, we will provide item lists and also a brand new catalogue. Advertising material as posters are also available.
