BUNADSAUM AS

Bunadsaum A/S has a workshop and retail outlet at Straumen , Sakshaug in Inderøy municipality.

We are a relatively large bunadbedrift, and we have today a produksjonsstab on 11 persons who together have 10 journeyman’s certificate in dress and costume, tailor and bunadstilvirkerfaget. We also have 2 Mesterbrev.

A journeyman’s certificate provides additional knowledge out to those who produce the costume. This provides security, both for the manufacturer and the user.

In addition, the company has affiliated with a significant number of people throughout the country who embroiders Nord-Trønder and Fjellbygdbunadene.

Nord’s-Trønderbunadene and Fjellbygdbunaden is produced in its entirety in Norway.

Bunadsaum A/S is a member of the subjects – and bransjeforbundene Tekstilhåndverkerne, NHO, arts and Crafts and the Norwegian Folkedraktforum.

Bunadtilvirkerfaget is a course based on the transmission of traditions, håndboren knowledge and husflidsarbeid. It is a cultural subject entrusted with, and the subject attends to skills in textile craft techniques and materials with strong roots in our cultural heritage.
