Police tracking stolen vehicle find trove of purses and backpacks from L.A., Orange County victims

Police searching for a stolen vehicle found a cache of purses and backpacks at the Anaheim home of two suspected thieves, police said.

Police arrested Carlos Ramirez, 25, and Jacqueline Chavez, 23, on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, burglarizing a vehicle and conspiracy.

Police first responded at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, police to 150 W Santa Fe Avenue in Fullerton to a report of a burglary and stolen vehicle, according to the Fullerton Police Department.

Police tracked the stolen vehicle to the Anaheim home of Chavez and Ramirez where officers found property from victims in Orange and Los Angeles counties. A photo posted on the police department’s Facebook showed more than a dozen backpacks and purses.
