Joshua Schulman at Coach?

Could Joshua Schulman be headed to Coach Inc.?
Sources said the former president of Bergdorf Goodman is headed to Coach, possibly as brand president for the Coach brand.
A spokeswoman at Coach declined comment. Schulman could not be reached for comment.
The move suggests that the company is moving closer to a possible acquisition of handbag maker Kate Spade & Co. Schulman’s joining the company as brand president could set the stage for a management structure where the brand presidents all report to chief executive officer Victor Luis. Coach also owns Stuart Weitzman.
Coach has said it is on the acquisition trail, and Wall Street analysts believe that the accessories firm is transforming itself to be a holding company where it owns multiple brands under its corporate umbrella.
When word got out last week that Schulman was leaving Bergdorf’s on May 10 after five years at the retailer, it was stated that he had accepted a “leadership role at a multinational fashion company.” He also wore a second hat as president of NMG International, including overseeing the Munich-based Mytheresa.com division.
While Bergdorf’s marked Schulman’s first time running a department store, his experience — 25 years — is primarily on the wholesale side in the luxury sector.

CEO Talks: Isabel Marant’s Sophie Duruflé and Anouck Duranteau-Loeper

PARIS — Until the sale of her label in July of last year, Isabel Marant was among the rare independent designers at the head of a large business who resisted pressure to open stores and expand into new categories.
Since Montefiore Investment bought 51 percent of its capital, the brand has undergone a quiet revolution, marked by the arrival in November of Anouck Duranteau-Loeper as deputy chief executive, working alongside Sophie Duruflé and Nathalie Chemouny, Marant’s two original business partners and managing directors.
Together, they are mapping out the future of the brand credited with inventing the bohemian Parisienne hipster-meets-tomboy look favored by celebrities such as Beyoncé, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
In an interview in Marant’s spacious new showroom on Place des Victoires, Duranteau-Loeper and Duruflé detailed the initiatives they are putting into place, which include launching an e-commerce site in June and bolstering the label’s handbag assortment.
The brand is streamlining its operations by bringing retail and wholesale under the purview of Jean Keller, who has been named vice president of global distribution, a new position. Meanwhile, it has grouped accessories for Isabel Marant and its secondary line, Isabel Marant Étoile, into a single collection.
Duruflé noted that with 2016 wholesale revenues of

Net-a-porter, Mr Porter Introduce Enhanced Personal Shopping Services

COMING HOME: Net-a-porter, like other luxury retailers, has always paid extra attention to its big-spending clients, or EIPs (extremely important people). Now, it’s ramping up those services with a series of initiatives for Net and Mr Porter called “You Try, We Wait,” “Net-a-porter at Home” and “Mr Porter at Home”
As part of “You Try, We Wait,” personal shoppers will deliver orders to EIP clients at home on the same day as their request, wait until the pieces ordered have been tried on, and collect anything that needs to be returned. Customers no longer have to book an extra pickup for items they want to send back.
The same-day delivery service will be introduced in London in September to coincide with the start of the fall shopping season. By the end of the year, the service will be available in New York and Hong Kong, where the company has head offices and distribution centers.
“Net-a-porter at Home” and “Mr Porter at Home” are extensions of the service, with additional at-home consultations. Customers are presented with a curated edit of new-season items by their personal shoppers, as well as items on their wish lists. They are able to try everything on, and are invoiced
