Sergio Rossi Releases Christmas Capsule Collection

MILAN — Sergio Rossi is stepping into the holiday season in a sparkling way.
The Italian footwear company has released a capsule collection of silver glittered styles, comprising sneakers, kitten-heeled pointy sling-backs and high-heeled pumps.
To enhance the festive mood of the lineup, the styles are embellished with ribbons and the brand’s initials in crystals.
Available beginning Tuesday at the Sergio Rossi stores and e-commerce, the collection retails from 595 euros for the sneakers to 695 euros for the pumps.

Flanking the launch, a short video dubbed “A Magic Spark” has been created to promote the lineup on the brand’s web site and social media.
Through the work of multimedia artist Sofia Mattioli and illustrator Delphine Cauly, the video combines illustration with live action, as footage of a dancer sporting the footwear are alternated with sketches depicting the styles and the company’s factory in San Mauro Pascoli.

Influence Peddler: Anine Bing on Building a Brand for the Modern Woman

When Anine Bing joined Instagram, she had no idea how big of a business it could be.
In less than a decade, the fashion influencer-turned-designer has amassed more than 600,000 Instagram followers and launched an eponymous clothing line. On Thursday, she will open her ninth store, in London, and in 2019 her company is expected to double its revenue.
Born in Denmark, Bing launched her blog while living in Sweden. She moved to Los Angeles shortly after Instagram launched, joined the social media platform and began to build a following by sharing her outfits. Once she had racked up about 4,000 followers, she knew she could turn her following into a business.
“Whatever I was wearing, people came to me for inspiration and wanted to know where I got it,” said Bing. “I saw early on that there was some kind of business in it. I had no idea how big that would be, but I saw early on that it had an impact.”

Sheryl Lowe to Debut Men’s Jewelry Line Mr. Lowe

Sheryl Lowe has offered female consumers her surf culture-meets-rock ‘n’ roll jewelry for nearly a dozen years, and now the Southern California jeweler is launching her first men’s line, Mr. Lowe. Inspired by her husband, award-winning actor Rob Lowe, and the couple’s two sons, Matthew and John Owen, the line is both wearable and unabashedly masculine with some “bling appeal.”

“I created Mr. Lowe for different types of men — the outdoorsman, adventure seeker, traveler, artist, and corporate cool guy,” explained Sheryl Lowe, whose signature style comes through Mr. Lowe with stackable layers creating a classic-meets-edgy look. “I love the balance of mixing metals and gemstones with natural wood, earthy African designs and shell beads. It brings out the cool in every guy.”
“I love my stacks of Mr. Lowe bracelets. They are my uniform; I wear them every day,” said Rob Lowe, whose favorite items also

Lutz Huelle to Be Named Delpozo Creative Director, Sources Say

MILAN — Lutz Huelle is the new creative director of Madrid-based Delpozo, WWD has learned.
According to a market source, the German designer will succeed Josep Font, who exited Delpozo last September. Reached by phone, a Delpozo spokeswoman declined to comment.
Font was tapped in 2012 by Grupo Perfumes y Diseño, which has managed the brand’s perfume license since 1992 and bought the whole fashion house in 2011. During his tenure, Font revitalized the label, founded by Jesus Delpozo in 1974, with bold and elegant collections characterized by flamboyant tones, eccentric touches and couture-inspired details.
A Central Saint Martins graduate, Huelle joined the Maison Martin Margiela team in 1995, where he was in charge of the knitwear and Artisanal lines. In 2000, he established his own brand, called Lutz, and the following year he received the Andam Fashion Award. In order to support the expansion of the brand, in 2012 the label was renamed Lutz Huelle because of the difficulties in protecting the name Lutz on a global scale. Defined by a conceptual and personal approach, Lutz Huelle collections, which are shown during Paris Fashion Week, stand out with their mix-and-match of out-of-context elements portraying a variety of identities.

Prada Mode Miami Setting Up at the Freehand During Art Basel

PARTY MODE: The inaugural edition of Prada Mode is setting up shop inside the easygoing hostel-hotel Freehand Miami for the Art Basel Miami Beach crowd.
The club will serve as a cultural gathering ahead of the fair’s official opening Dec. 4 to 6, offering guests and Prada Mode members a packed schedule, as well as plenty of late-night music and dancing. There will also be a site-specific “intervention” by artist Theaster Gates, who will be joined by the Black Monks of Mississippi for a live set. Other collaborations are to include a performance by Elena Ayodele in conjunction with National YoungArts Foundation and an event with Document Journal. DJ sets by Craig Richards, AJ Kwame, No Vacancy Inn and other Prada Mode residents will keep the party going late into the night during the three-day residency.
Last year, Prada hosted the Carsten Höller-designed pop-up Prada Double Club in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, a popular stop on the Art Basel Miami Beach party scene. Guests such as Ricky Martin, Rita Ora, Diplo and Miuccia Prada herself were spotted at the club dancing to performances by musicians Wyclef Jean and the Wu-Tang Clan.
