GERMAN RUGS: Fitted rugs à la carte Whether decent or decadent, flat or cuddly – from the GERMAN RUGS manufactory, founded in 2017, no carpet comes like any other. With her “Carpet Couture”, managing director Cordula Jahn wants to create “original and relaxed, seductive and practical one-of-a-kind pieces” and dedicate herself to the topics of acoustics, aesthetics and well-being. GERMAN RUGS seeks to explore and interact with the space: “For us, design means form, color and feel”, emphasizes the entrepreneur based in the Swabian town of Ammerbuch. The product portfolio comprises 22 flooring qualities – from wool to textile to leather, free in the molds and variable in the borders. All qualities are highly durable and therefore suitable for use in different properties. Customers come from the areas of shopfitting, office, hotel and education as well as private households. The young company has just received a special award: GERMAN RUGS has been admitted to the renowned German Design Council and is therefore now part of the circle of benefactors with 250 national and international members.
