India’s Labour Force Participation at 55.6% in April: PLFS

India’s labour force participation rate in current weekly status (CWS) among persons aged 15 and above was 55.6 per cent during April, according to the Periodic Labour Force Survey.
LFPR in rural areas was 58 per cent and in urban areas, it was 50.7 per cent for the month for persons of the same age group.
The unemployment rate in CWS among persons aged 15 and above was 5.1 per cent in April.Read More
