Egypt’s apparel exports rose by 27 per cent YoY to $262 million in March, the Apparel Export Council of Egypt said.
It aims at doubling exports by 2031 to $12 billion by expanding to African and Asian markets, leveraging Egypt’s trade agreements, enhancing value-added production and modernising manufacturing lines.

South Africa imported textiles and textile articles worth 16,746.0 million rand (~$900.86 million) in January–March 2025, up 7.1 per cent year-on-year, while exports rose 7.4 per cent to 5,921.3 million rand.
March imports fell 14.3 per cent from February, but exports surged 33.1 per cent.

Germany’s GDP grew by 0.2 per cent in Q1 2025 from the previous quarter, after a 0.2 per cent decline in Q4 2024, according to Destatis.
Compared with the first quarter of 2024, GDP fell by 0.4 per cent in price-adjusted terms and 0.2 per cent after price and calendar adjustments.
