Austria’s apparel imports shift towards Asia before EU parcel duty

Austria’s apparel imports rose nearly 2 per cent to $3.785 billion in January–June 2026, with Asia-Pacific shipments up 104 per cent to $788.673 million.
Europe remained the top source at $2.817 billion, but its share fell to 74.43 per cent from 86.56 per cent as imports declined by about 12 per cent.
Trousers and shorts led categories at $1.009 billion, or 26.68 per cent of total imports.Read More
