India has sought consultations with Indonesia under the WTO rules on the extension of safeguard measures by the latter on cotton yarn, the world trade body said.
Notifications by Indonesia mentioned serious injury or threat to Indonesian firms producing cotton yarn and proposed safeguard measures against such imports.
