Delta Galil USA Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Tel Aviv-based Delta Galil Industries, has signed a licensing partnership with Calvin Klein.
Delta Galil will develop, produce and distribute boys’ and girls’ underwear, sleepwear and socks for the brand, which is owned by PVH Corp. In 2013 PVH Corp. reacquired Calvin Klein’s jeans and underwear business. It produces the men’s and women’s underwear.
“Calvin Klein has represented one of the most iconic brands for nearly 50 years, and it is a true honor to partner with them particularly in their renowned underwear and intimate apparel categories,” said Isaac Dabah, chief executive officer of Delta Galil. “This represents an important step for Delta Galil in our ongoing strategy of enhancing our branded portfolio and broadening our presence in the premium sector.”
The agreement begins on Jan. 1 and Delta Galil will hold the exclusive wholesale rights for five years. The company also produces loungewear, sleep and underwear for brands including Columbia Sportswear, Juicy and Tommy Hilfiger, which is also owned by PVH. With the current Nineties trend, Calvin Klein logo underwear has been popular at retail with stores including Urban Outfitters and Opening Ceremony carrying logo capsule collections from the line.
