55% of German power consumption comes from renewables in 2024

Fifty-five per cent of gross electricity consumption in Germany was served by renewable energy this year.
Out of the total generated electricity of 489 billion kWh this year, 284 billion kWh came from renewable sources.
The improvement was mainly due to photovoltaics.
