Yvette Jelfs is a well-established British hat designer working with some of the best international designers and fashion houses around the world. Popular with young British royals and a regular at the London fashion week the Yvette Jelfs label reflects the best of British in luxury goods.

Hat-making is primarily a skill about self-expression; working in a way that is both beautiful and communicative. Making the customer part of that process have always been central to the business. Using the finest fabrics, materials and trims, employing traditional techniques and craftsmanship Yvette has built up a significant bespoke customer base, where quality, style and exclusivity are paramount.

A student of master hat-makers Fredrick Fox and Graham Smith in the 1980s, Yvette founded the business in Luton, the millinery capital of England; designing and creating bespoke and couture hats for private clients and manufacturing and producing hats for exclusive boutiques and wholesalers such as DAKs, Jaeger, Karen Millen and Phase Eight. In 2001 the company moved production to the Scottish Borders, where it continues work from, at the heart of the Scottish textiles industry.
