W. Schmidt GmbH was founded in 1948. From the year of its foundation until today, the company has been working very successfully in the field of “curtains”. We keep a finger on the pulse of the market trends, adapting our products accordingly, and so the company has developed from an embroidery and jacquard producer to an efficiant partner covering the entire range of “curtain and decorative fabrics” products. Today, the company employs 60 people, divided between two locations. Another 200 people work exclusively for Schmidt via our very close cooperations with subcontractors thoughout the rest of Europe.

Our company’s strengths lie in its successful innovative capacity, the speed at which it handles problems and its efficient logistics network. We are one of the largest manufacturers of ready-made curtains in Germany. With a capacity of over 30.000 finished curtains per week, we are also more than capable of handling large-scale orders without a problem. With over 50 years experience in home textiles and a young, dedicated team exclusively devoted to achieving the utmost customer satisfaction – we’re the right partner for handling new problems. The product range of the company is wide: We got copious fabric collections (for example furnishing fabrics, unis, printed items, burn-outs, woven fabrics, embroderies, jacquards) and also a big selection of ready-made curtains. The ready-made collection unter the brand „HOME Wohnideen“ contains curtains with loops and eyelets, panel curtains, blinds, bistro curtains, pillow sleeves, etc. Especially two product collections are very successful: Digital printed Panel Curtains and easyFIX-Roman-Blinds for „hang up without drill“. The panel curtains of the „digital printed“ collection are high-quality printed with photo-realistic motives for several home ambiences. The „hang up without drill“ roman-blinds with suitable window hooks are for all common window frames – „without drill“. The Company is supplying shop in shop systems for the market stores. In case of longtime experiences with mail order sellings we are also able to offer third-party-deals.
