Established as a West of England weaving workshop in the 16th century, it quickly became one of the region’s most significant textile companies. By the 18th century every discerning gentlemen wore broadcloth baring the merchant’s mark of Marling & Evans. Once a completely vertical mill that survived two world war the mill has since changed many owners and locations while never losing its tradition and Saxony qualities.

Now in the heart of Huddersfield, centre of Yorkshire textile industry which still produce the finest cloths available. Marling & Evans has always adapted innovation in line with changing market requirements, making our mill one of the favourite produces for almost every major luxury label and designers around the world.

Each season an impressive collection is developed with hundreds of unique designs, colorways, weights and finishes through complex twisting and mixing of fibres.

Every season collection is broken down into sub categories of weight and composition. Each colour of yarn or pattern seen in each collection can be tweaked and altered as desired, giving unlimited possibilities.

These are only available for weaving to order with a minimum lead time of six weeks depending on production schedule and requires 60m per colour/design.
