After working at the heart of the Indian carpet industry in Mirzapur, U.P. for 5 years, our founder, Jairaj Patel, started Akara in 1996. Our head office is located in Mumbai and our production centres are spread across Northern parts of India. We have a 10000 sq. feet showroom in Mumbai which houses our entire product range. The showroom is annexed to our 15000 sq. feet inspection and packing unit.
We have been exhibiting at Heimtextil, Frankfurt since 2004 and now have over 150 customers in 50+ countries, spanning the globe.
Design Range
We have 1000+ designs in various fibers like cotton, wool, jute, hemp, seagrass, viscose, silk waste, leather, polyester and PVC.
All our products are completely hand processed using traditional techniques of carpet weaving. Our in-house design studio is equipped with state of the art CAD systems and our designers are always working on innovative designs and weaves.
We prioritize quality and timeliness above all else. We let our products do the talking, and hence invest more in product research, design and development, than marketing.
Custom & Container Orders
Due to our close control on manufacturing, we have the flexibility to fulfil custom as well as container orders. All our designs can be completely customized to suit your requirements. You can choose your own sizes and colors for our designs, or send us your designs to work on.
Shipment Policy
We do not hold any stock. This allows us to have complete flexibility to produce as per your sizes, colors and designs. We normally take 90 days to produce and ship orders directly from Mumbai.
